Trunnion assembly is one of the basic techniques of carpentry. The problem of the correspondence between the holes to be drilled in the parts to be assembled is solved by the use of marking points. These small accessories extremely simple and inexpensive can achieve a satisfactory result without being extremely accurate.
The marking points in brass allow a satisfactory correspondence of the holes to house the trunnions. It must be ensured that the drilling depth does not exceed 2/3 of the thickness of the panel to be assembled. The hole should be slightly deeper than the length of trunnion to be accommodated to allow some space for the glue.
