The masonry ridge has some problems on 3 m at the end of the roof. Can we break the ridge and redo only these 3 m or must we redo everything?

In theory it is possible to partially repair a ridge, on condition that one succeeds in removing the roof tiles, without breaking the following ones, and without breaking the tiles of last rank, which are most often sealed with the mortar. The junction between the old may certainly be a source of infiltration. Replacing sealed ridge holes is not a very difficult job.
Warning: working at the top of a roof requires important safety precautions. It is probably more reasonable to entrust this work to a roofer.
