I have a project of construction of individual house RT, plain foot 130m2, and I hesitate between a PAc air / water with heated floor, and pellet stove !! Can you help me choose, knowing that I favor performance, efficiency, cost and maintenance over the long term!

Both systems are valid, depending on the context:
- A pellet stove requires a suitable home architecture - compact and very open - to hope to heat the entire house normally. The advantage is quite economical, both for investment and maintenance, as the pellet stove remains based on a simple technique, even if the equipment includes a good dose of electronics. Disadvantage: regular reloading of pellets if continuous feeding is not possible.
- An air / water heat pump connected to a floor heating requires a much larger investment, as well as maintenance costs to take into account. A heat pump remains a relatively sophisticated mechanism, with a compressor, exchangers, valves, etc. Advantage, this technique adapts to all architectures. This solution is ideal in regions with mild climate, or even in the southern region where reversibility can allow cooling in summer.
In operating cost, it is possible that an air / water heat pump is the most economical, especially in regions with not too cold winters, the efficiency of the heat pump decreasing sharply with the fall of the outside temperatures. Note that the price of pellets may change unfavorably in the future.
