I am in the process of producing a floor made of polystyrene slabs, and I intend to realize the separation of the living rooms in hollow brick masonry, I would like to know if you like, if there will be a perfect adhesion between the mortar cement masonry walls and polystyrene flooring.
Before considering the installation of partition walls, it is important to pour on the slab floor a slab and a screed. The connection between the partition and the floor will therefore pose no problem of adhesion.
On the bottom, and except for special constraints of resistance to shocks and / or humidity, the hollow brick is not the most suitable product for the realization of partition walls. Partitions made of gypsum plasterboard with a metal frame and insulating filler are much more acoustically efficient and practical: passage of ducts, installation of sockets and switches, etc.
