  • Cut out strips of different fabrics 50 cm long and 5 cm to 10 cm wide and sew them together to form a rectangle of 55 cm x 50 cm.
  • Sew the ribbons either on the seams or in the middle of the strips.

  • Cut 2 strips of 7 cm x 110 cm into the pink silk.
  • Iron 1 cm from the edge and overcast at the top and bottom.
  • Crease one side of each band so that it is 50 cm long.

  • Sew these strips right side up at each end of the fabric rectangle.
  • Sew together the two lengths of the rectangle together to form the duffel.
  • Flip, iron and slide the bolster.
  • Tighten the threads at each end to close.

  • Cover both buttons with contrasting fabric as described in the kit instructions.
  • Sew them in the center of the tight circle on each side of the bolster.
Note: This bolster can be adapted to a neutral environment if you choose black, gray and ivory, striped, checked or geometric fabrics.
