How to install a partition wall for good insulation and efficient thermal doubling: gestures explained step-by-step.
Draw the location of the insulating partition on the floor and on the walls.
Draw the surface to be glued to allow a good adhesion of the glue.
Glue and place the tiles
Glue the sides of a first entire tile.
Place it against the wall (if necessary, lay a resilient tape).
Then nest the next tile.
You want to insulate your attic at € 1?
Test your eligibility by filling out the form below:
Attention to the alignment of the tiles
Make the first row by regularly checking the alignment of the gypsum tiles relative to each other with a metal ruler.
Lay the second row
Start the second row with a half-tile cut into two equal parts.
After gluing and fitting, check the plumb with a spirit level.
Slide insulation boards
Rigid insulation panels are simply slid between the wall and the plasterboard bulkhead.
Provide a strip of cork
In the upper part, the last tile must leave a free space of about 3 cm in order to slide a resilient cork strip.
Seal the defects
The joints, the thickened edges and the misalignments are then clogged with the remainder of glue and with filler.
