The exhibition of eco-construction and energy performance.
From March 3 to 5, Ecobat opened its doors to the Parisian public to discover the sector of eco-construction and energy performance. A must for DuitDesign who is on the lookout for ecological news in the habitat to inform you. Thus, we went on the ground, to offer you a report on this colorful show, attended by both professionals and individuals.
After a first round of tracking between the aisles of the show, it is clear that some stands are a hit with visitors while others remain desperately empty. Unsurprisingly, the major players in the sector such as ADEME (the environment and energy management agency), Maison paysanne de France (National Association that helps individuals to restore their homes with techniques traditional and local materials) or Terre Vivante (publishing house), attract the curious, but also some DIYers anxious to carry out their work in an ecological way and eager for information. Note also that the builders of wooden houses attract many private individuals including the designers of "l'écoquille", a round house all wood, hundred percent ecological and original aesthetics or "Call of London", builders of wood frame houses.
Finally, it is the imposing installation of Carlos Castro Construction, a kit house coming from Costa Rica made with ecological materials, mainly bamboo, which seems to interest the most people. Indeed, many visitors flock there to enter or photograph.

While some stands present, solutions already well known by others innovate and surprise us with unusual products or projects out of the ordinary. Thus, our highlight of the show was the visit of the Emmaus builders' booth, which set up solidarity building sites to build ecological and economical wooden pallet houses, all in a very short time to meet needs. emergency housing. Another discovery is Gramitherm, an ecological insulator of Swiss origin, made from grass fiber. A product easy to install throughout the house, moisture regulator, which consumes very little energy for its manufacture and would be much more efficient than mineral wool. Note, however, a surprising smell, but disappears over time once wool laid and boxed. To finish on a note of color, ecological paints Lyd France manufactured with recyclable raw materials, and without volatile organic component caught our attention. Ecological certainly, but also aesthetic, these paints offer a wide range of shades obtained with mineral pigments and ochres. In addition, Lyd France is part of the first network of companies with a socio-economic goal dedicated to the human: Le Relais.

Once is not customary, instead of boasting the merits of innovative products or projects full of future, DuitDesign has chosen to treat stands that do not meet its definition of ecological home. Thus, the stand "Courant" with its protection systems against electromagnetic radiation, found on all living rooms dedicated to housing, seems to take the opportunity to make a new clientele to sell its sheaths, electric but certainly not ecological... Note also the presence of an association offering ecological holiday camps, the eco-center of burgundy, a laudable initiative but far removed from the world of building. Finally, we will notice that some companies, including the Bullerjan Canadian stoves and the Carlos Castro Construction kit houses, sell imported products which considerably increase their ecological impact by transporting them from the other side of the world.
To conclude this report, Handyman Dudimanche wonders about the waste of papers made by many exhibitors, very few have printed their leaflets and catalogs on recycled paper.
