The energy renovation of houses involves various interventions on the building, after an analysis of the thermal weaknesses of the house. Attics, especially when they are convertible, are a particularly sensitive part of it. In addition to the need to insulate the roof panels from the inside or the outside, we must look at openings with roof windows. Their replacement is often a necessity.
The new VELUX® roof windows benefit from technological advances that allow them to benefit from excellent thermal insulation. A glazing construction with an insulating blade filled with 15 mm thick argon suppresses the cold wall phenomenon. This glazing, essential to protect itself from the cold, also avoids the summer overheating: it stops indeed 77% of the heat in summer, without harming the passage of the light. Insulating blocks placed in the nerve areas of the window contribute to a better airtightness.
The new VELUX® roof windows have an integrated insulating block ensuring excellent peripheral sealing. It improves the thermal performance of the window by 15% compared to a conventional fitting. A band of foam marries the trunk, thus preventing thermal bridging.
The insulating qualities of the new VELUX® roof windows make it possible to benefit from CITE, the energy transition tax credit, of 30% on the price including VAT (5.5%) of the equipment bill.. In 2015, it applies without conditions of income or work package, in individual house as in apartment, in principal residence completed since more than 2 years (within the limits of amount and duration defined by the law). The work must be done by a company or a craftsman RGE.
