To be installed, a central heating radiator must be equipped with the various elements that allow it to operate: drain valve, supply connection, control elbow, air vent and thermostatic valve. It will always be better to install this equipment in a workshop, on a bench, rather than once the radiator has been installed.
The assembly of the different equipment of the radiator must be done with great rigor. Although they are normally designed for mounting without sealing reinforcement, it is always wise to guarantee it with Teflon tape (without excess so as not to create extra thicknesses) on the threads. Fragile part, the thermostatic valve will gain to be removed during the transport of the radiator and reassembled at the end of the installation of this one.
