I am going to build a house in Limousin, and as insulation of walls outside I chose the projected polyurethane. Can you tell me what is the ideal thickness to have good insulation. As heating, there is provided a heated floor powered by a heat pump, and solar panels.
The insulation from the outside by projected polyurethane foam is not in my eyes the best solutions for a facade (while it is an excellent option inside in certain configurations). Indeed, you can not exceed 5 to 6 cm which is not always enough. External insulation by insulating panels + cladding and / or insulation cladding (eg polyurethane-filled aluminum foil) would be my preference.
