PVC fittings

Practical to install, PVC pipes are resistant to household chemicals, and heat up to 65 degrees. However, they tend to expand when the temperature rises too much. If the problem arises, then it is necessary to use a dilation sleeve that will allow the pieces to play.

Difficulty level:

Easy

Tools and materials needed:

Medium grain sandpaper
Special glue for PVC fitting
Degreaser (alcohol)
A clean cloth
A small fine brush
A pencil

Step 1: Prepare the pipe

Push the end of the pipe all the way into the fitting without forcing too much.
Then draw a pencil mark on the tube to record the insertion depth.
Pass some glass paper on the outside of the tube to the mark to make it easier to hang on.
Then rub the inside of the hose with the sandpaper and clean it with degreaser.
To finish dry the surface with a soft cloth.

Step 2: the connection

PVC fittings: fitting

Brush a layer of glue with a brush uniformly on the end of the tube and push the hose completely into the fitting. During this stage be as fast as possible because the glue dries quite quickly.
Then maintain pressure on the connection for about 10 seconds to allow the glue time to take.
