The system presented here combines a small roof frame, a reflective duct and a ceiling light. On the outside, the roof-to-ceiling integration remains discreet. There are chassis adapted to each type of cover. Inside, the diffuser integrated in the ceiling looks like a large recessed spot... that consumes nothing!

A flexible or rigid conduit?

This amazing natural lighting system comes in two versions: with flexible or rigid duct.
• In a flexible version, the distance between the roof frame and the ceiling diffuser can be up to 2 meters. This is the system shown here ("Sun Tunnel" by Velux, supplied as a kit with an integrated seal fitting).
• More efficient, the rigid conduit carries this distance to 6 meters. In addition to the greater distance, the rigid conduit also offers better lighting power, with a light output of 6,500 lumens, against 2,100 lumens in a flexible version.

Installation conditions

The distance between the roof and the ceiling determines the choice of the most suitable duct. If the integration on the roof does not pose any particular problem, it is necessary especially to think about the passage of the conduit. The non-convertible attic of a single-storey house or attic space remains the most discreet crossing points.
