The up-and-down allows to light one or more lights from two distant points. This is the classic system used to turn on and off lighting from, for example, the two ends of a corridor or two communication doors of the same room. Beyond two control points, a remote control switch is used. Simple on paper, the connection of a coming and going is confusing on the ground. That's why we made this installation in a theoretical and practical way, on a panel, after having realized a schematic of the switch.
The installation of a back and forth makes use of specific switches, sometimes considered as "switches". They include three terminals, two of which, connected in pairs, establish or interrupt in turn the contact, via two drivers called "shuttles". This theoretical and practical montage is illustrated by this video.
