I would like to paint an electric convector but the painting does not hold; I tried sanding it and using special radiator paint but nothing holds. Do I have to put undercoat ferrous or non-ferrous metals?

First, the nature of the radiator metal must be identified: ferrous or non-ferrous. In both cases it is preferable to bare the metal and apply an underlayer corresponding to the type of metal. Let it dry and then proceed to a progressive heating.
