How to insulate and protect a fiber cement roof on a garage
A roof made of corrugated plate, can be isolated from the outside by the outside with a system of overcover, see for example the solution proposed by Faynot. This solution avoids the disassembly of the old cover, provides lasting protection and allows to isolate the entire roof. Insulation from the inside, under purlins, with rigid insulating panels nailed or screwed directly to the purlins is also possible. You can also make a frame suspended parallel to the rampant, on which you can screw insulating panels.
