Solid or sticky wood: the method of installation is identical. The dimensions of the part determine the type of sizing. In a small space (bathroom, kitchen, corridor...), the laying on cords of mastic-glue polyurethane is possible. Advantage: This method significantly improves the sound insulation. Beyond four square meters, gluing with a toothed squeegee (6 to 8 mm teeth) and a special potted glue is essential. Regular and homogeneous, it provides a flat floor.
There are phonic sub-layers specific to glued parquet. Openworked, they do not diminish the quality of the collage.
Clean and stick the floor
Degrease the floor thoroughly with sodium hydroxide solution.
Draw the starting line with chalk and chalk. Then glue with strips of putty spaced about 5 cm.
Install the first blade
Apply the first blade: present it horizontally, then press it lightly on the sealant. Insert 5 mm shims between the wall and the blade.
Glue the sides of the blades
To ensure watertightness in a damp room, apply silicone sealant to the sides of the blades in contact with the adjacent blades. In a dry room, the vinyl glue is sufficient.
Finish the first rank
Complete the starting rank: constantly check the alignment, if necessary with a long rule.
The ideal is to let the first row dry before continuing.
