These pumps are the simplest, without large sensors to install or special permission to ask.
This new generation air-to-water heat pump from 8 to 17 kW is distinguished from the previous one by a higher COP (from 3.8 to 4.37), a more modest noise level (39 to 41 dBA), integrated hydraulic equipment and a more modern aesthetic. "Multirev". Multibeton.
Heat the house
The calories needed to heat the house are drawn from the outside air and distributed in rooms using two methods.
Air-to-air heat pumps
Air-to-air heat pumps are simply split-system split air conditioners. They present an interesting variant in new construction or in heavy renovation: the centralized air system. An indoor power plant distributes fresh air that is heated or cooled in the rooms either by a false ceiling or by a network of ducts placed in the attic or the basement of the house. The treated air enters the rooms through blowing outlets directing the flow.
Air-to-water heat pumps
This is an interesting variation: the machine transmits the calories from outside air to a heating circuit (heated floors, low-temperature radiators or fan coils). In summer, the opposite phenomenon occurs if the "refresh" option has been chosen. The advantages (compared to air-to-air pumps): low-temperature heat emitters, and there is no air movement or ventilation noise inside (except with fan coils).
The air-air or air-water systems are the least expensive: 90 to 120 € about the square meter of surface heated and refreshed. However, the location of the outdoor unit must be well chosen: the hum emitted when it is operating (especially during the night) must not interfere with the occupants of the house or neighbors.
In heating mode, these systems remain efficient when the outside temperature does not drop below 3° C. The efficiency of a heat pump is directly proportional to the difference between the temperature of the medium where the heat is taken and the set temperature of the heating. The larger the gap, the worse the performance. This is why air heat pumps are less efficient than geothermal. It is rather advisable to install them in areas with mild climate (coastal for example). In very cold weather, additional heating is necessary.
