How high should a siphon sink be installed?
You must place your siphon just below the sink, knowing that the top edge of the siphon must be 85 cm above the floor. The standard depth of a basin being 20 to 25 cm, the siphon is about sixty centimeters from the ground. Thesiphon clamping nut must be attached directly to the water outlet under the sink. See our DIY tip sheet oninstallation of a sink.
For information, be aware that the size of siphons must meet specific standards that may differ from one country to another. Our standard specifies that all siphons must have a minimum water-holding height of 5cm high. This is very important because otherwise your siphon will defuse very quickly.
