Composed of a bowl attached to the floor and a tank, this classic device requires a little room to take his ease. Its commissioning requires only a little precision.
A traditional W-C is composed of a bowl and a tank. Generally, the flush mechanism is also provided. A W-C is connected to an evacuation of wastewater (EV) of 100? Mm. It is forbidden to evacuate W-C effluents with greywater (sink, washbasin, bathtub) or with rainwater. Some precautions are necessary to ensure a carefree evacuation.
Install the tank of a monobloc toilet
Install the sealing washer (elastomer) on the hole of the bowl. It is not clipped or glued.
Lay the tank on the bowl by engaging the two studs into the holes in the bowl.
Insert on each stud a washer of elastomer, a metal washer and a wing nut.
Install the evacuation of a monobloc toilet
Locate the axis of your bowl relative to the wall (here 45 cm for a space of 90 cm wide).
Record this distance on the drain pipe then cut this pipe with a simple saw blade.
Difficult access tipYou can use a flexible and extensible pipe to make it easier for you if the pipe is not easily accessible.
Connect the bowl of a toilet
Most manufacturers provide a template. Use this one to mark on the ground the location of the fixing screws of the bowl.
Position the bowl to insert the outlet collar into the drain connection.
Connect the tank of a toilet
Install a shut-off valve on the water supply and connect it to the tank (from below for some models).
The flush mechanism is usually already in place. Close the lid and screw the control.
