The Content Of The Article:

I have an APIC water softener for 4 people that consumes far too much salt (1 bag per month). It necessarily rejects salt water after settling, and the water is not drinkable. TH at home is 26°. I heard about a chemical-free, electromagnetic system that plugs into water pipes with an electrical system. What do you think about this. But perhaps it is better to abandon everything and leave the devices as they are. Water is provided by the city.

Softening is justified only well above 26° TH. Your device is apparently out of order.

The effectiveness of electromagnetic systems is not proven. In your case, lower the temperature of your water heater and limit that of your washing machines and dishwashers, and everything will be fine.
