These tubes can be flat, round or any shape. They can also be vertical or horizontal. In these tubes circulates the hot water which will diffuse the heat in the room.
This type of radiator is often found in the form of a towel rail because the tubes are very useful for hanging towels, but flat tubular radiators are nowadays found in floors or even imitating cast iron radiators.
There are also tubular radiators with fins, which increase the convection of the apparatus, forming a kind of chimney where will circulate the air. These radiators are then found in stores or factories, where a large area must be heated.
What are the advantages of the tubular radiator?
This heating solution has several advantages:
- The temperature rises quickly,
- Steel is very robust and is anticorrosive,
- The choice of models and colors is vast and they can be made to measure,
- The price is reasonable.
This radiator is often found in schools or in places where there is equipment and people to heat (factories, sheds, etc.) because they are very resistant to frost.
What are the disadvantages of the tubular radiator?
This type of radiator has some disadvantages:
- The thermal inertia is weak: it cools quickly once off,
- The basic models are not very aesthetic.
Despite these small defects, the tubular radiator is a very popular heating solution because it is very practical.
