Renovate on a glass cloth before / after
Resistant and original wall cladding, the glass fabric offers some advantages in terms of renovation. Waterproof, rot-proof, strong, it is extremely durable. Thus, it is strongly discouraged to try to remove it from the risk of tearing the wall underneath. To change interior decoration, you will have to apply a coating of filling on all its surface. With the "Garnir Pate" and "Magic Renov" coatings, Toupret offers products for a perfectly smooth support.

Prepare the support
Dust and clean the entire surface of the wall. Use a vacuum cleaner and a slightly damp cloth. Wipe.
Choose a filling plaster
Toupret's "Garnir Pate" paste coating is suitable for all types of substrates. To remove it, use a trowel or spray gun. Sanding is easy.
For damaged substrates, prefer the Toupret "Magic Renov" filling compound. Its application with the roller and the squeegee is simple and fast.
Apply a paste coating ("GARNIR PATE" from TOUPRET)
Take some plaster with the trowel. Lay it in a thick layer on an area of 1m². Spread the plaster evenly over the surface with a new pass. Let the coating harden.
With a spatula to coat, repeat the junctions to soften the rough edges. Allow the plaster to cure completely before applying a second coat. Repeat to facilitate sanding.
Sand the plaster
Check that the entire surface is white and dry to the touch. With fine-grained sandpaper, sanding in small circular motions
Apply a filling compound ("MAGIC'RENOV" from TOUPRET)
Dip the roll (supplied with the kit) in the coating. Spread it on a surface of 1 m2. When laying, the plaster becomes more flexible.
Spread the plaster
Equalize the distribution over the entire area using the serrated squeegee provided in the kit.
Apply a second layer
3. A second coat can be applied after 1.5 hours. Smooth with the squeegee provided in the kit. The walls are ready to be painted or to receive a decorative coating after 4 hours. Sanding is practically unnecessary. The deep white of the coating promotes the application of paints.
Let the coating dry. If necessary, spread a thin layer of plaster again. Smooth and smooth the irregularities on the squeegee.
Sand the surface
Although sanding is not essential, it can further improve the result. Use a fine grit sandpaper.
Carry out decoration work
After a drying time of 4 hours, apply the wall covering of your choice: paint or decorative coating.
