I just took off lino slabs all over the house. Despite strippers, gels, etc... the glue remains attached to the chappe. Can I stick my new tile over? If no, how?

If the remains of glue adhere very well there is no great risk to stick the tiles on it. However, it is of course best to remove it. You may get it by softening it with a heat gun, then scratching it with a "scraper" (scraper at the end of a handle).
