Lay the plates: material
To cover the garden shed, you need:
- Onduline® Universal Nails or Screws
- Easyfix Onduline® plates (81 x 200 cm or 1.32 m2 useful area)
Prepare the pose
Determine the number of plates to install. Calculate the slope according to the roof support. If the boards are laid on panels or boards (continuous support) the slope is 15%. On battens (discontinuous support) it must be larger.
Ensure the security
Install a mobile scaffold at the right height for stable stand-up work.
Place the plates in the opposite direction of the prevailing winds. Proceed in the same way for the banks and the ridge.
Install a line
Stretch a line parallel to the roof, about 7 cm apart. To put it in place, press a long nail on each side of the cover bracket into the edge.
Put the plates in place
Install the plates by sliding them from the bottom of the support to the roof pitch.
Align the roof overhang
Check the alignment of the plates and adjust it with the chalk. The overflow must be straight.
Lay and fix the plates
Start with the first row. Place and screw the plates in the upper part of the waves.
Continue laying the plates
Place half-plates to offset the second row.
Cut the plates
To make a straight cut, use another plate as a guide.
Bet on the recovery
If you do not want to cut, cover the plates with each other.
In order to guarantee a waterproof roof, the overlapping guides must be aligned.
Fix the plates
Consolidate the installation by inserting Onduline universal fasteners, screws or points. Plant them high on the waves without crushing them.
Respect the order of fixation
Fasteners must not be covered. Secure the plates in parts remaining bare.
Fix the banks
Screw the banks with the Onduline® universal fastening system.
Catch up with any discrepancies
Asymmetrical shores adapt to the plates. It is thus possible to compensate plate / roof gaps of 5 cm.
Install the ridge
Place the ridge at the top of the roof, balancing on both sides. proceed
Seal the ridge
For a perfect seal, the ridge elements must overlap each side of the roof by 12 cm.
Fix the ridge
In the upper part of the waves, screw with the Onduline® universal fixing system,
