How to make curved washers perfect for laying corrugated iron? System D gives you his secret.
To ensure perfect fastening to a corrugated iron roof, bolts screwed to the purlins must be equipped with curved washers under the head. These can advantageously be replaced by saws cut with a hole saw (Ø 20mm) in a PVC pipe chute (Ø 80mm).
This solution offers several advantages:
- The puck is already curved. More malleable than steel, it fits better in the shape of the sheet.
- The hole was made by the centering drill.
- The assembly will not fear the rust if, during the installation, one is injected a little silicone sealant to ensure tightness.
