A kitchen with a propane gas stove must be equipped with a high and low ventilation (this is what I was asked during the study of the replacement of my gas boiler with suction cup). Can a VMC replace this very uncomfortable and energy-saving measure, or can a plate equipped with a safety device that cuts off the gas in the event of extinguishing the flame replace it?
Not a VMC can in no way replace the high and low ventilation system stipulated in the standards (NF45-500). This type of ventilation is intended to protect you from the risk of carbon monoxide emissions from heating or cooking appliances. A hob with safety system (thermocouple) in case of extinguishing the flame is always a good choice because it is safer, but it can not dispense with the mandatory ventilation system.
