Wooden terraces: what's the meaning for the blades?

Instinctively, we prefer to walk perpendicular to the blades rather than in the longitudinal direction. This rule applies for the direction of installation of an interior floor, but also for that of a wooden deck: a laying of the blades parallel to the facade is usually preferred.
However, laying perpendicular to the facade does not constitute a fault of unacceptable taste, especially when it corresponds to the direction of the floorboards of the living room. This type of laying is also easier to implement, especially along an irregular facade.
Laying diagonally is also possible, and it is often proposed for contemporary homes. The implementation is more complicated because the joists must also be placed diagonally and the distance between centers is reduced from 40 to 30 cm.
